Video Killed the Photeo Star

I would normally talk about my wonderful clients here and the great video that I shot at their wedding.  But instead I will focus on how impossible it is to share anything longer than 15 minutes if you don’t have “Director” status with YouTube.  So just edit the video down to 15 minutes, right?  It’s just not that easy.  I’m trying to tell a story here and I can’t be confined by some internet corporation’s limits.  I have spent countless days trying to figure this out.  I conceded slightly and got the video down to 20 minutes.  That still doesn’t help me publish it anywhere though so I uploaded it to the “cloud” and am linking to it here.  I hope you enjoy the video more than I enjoyed uploading it.  By the way, Lindsey and Andrew are the bride and groom here and I can’t say enough about what a great couple they are and how fantastic their wedding was.  I had just as much fun as everyone in this video.  UPDATE: I stumbled across a video hosting service called Veoh where I was able to upload my 20 minute video!  The quality does not do my HD video justice but I guess it’s a trade-off.

Lindsey and Andrew

I just finished my latest album.  Those of you that have been by to look at my albums know what the panorama books look like.  These are the spreads from Lindsey and Andrew’s wedding in January.  They were a BLAST to work with.  I’ve never had a bride and groom spend two hours between their ceremony and reception touring in a party bus taking crazy fun pictures along the way.  We hit a Starbucks, 7-Eleven, AMC Movie Theater, and a Zales store.  Priceless pictures that I’m sure I’ll have very few opportunities to get ever again.  Add to that the Mop Guy at the reception and you’ve got an awesome wedding! Thank you for a very memorable night.

Miranda and Jeremiah

Miranda and Jeremiah were married on February 12th at the very cool Wildwood Inn.  I had the pleasure of shooting both their wedding and their engagement images and had a great time getting to know them.  Miranda is my current Poster Bride on my Facebook page and I really like her style.  I see a lot of cool dresses but hers ranked up there in the elegant category with the Tiffany blue bow and jeweled accents.  Jeremiah and his men were unusually attentive to detail on the guys’ side.  It must be the military background as I have never seen so much attention paid to making sure that the ties were perfectly straight and just the right length.  It’s a great quality that more grooms would do well to have.  I can’t leave out Miranda’s change of clothes into her reception gown which was short and fun but still tasteful.  It was a great night and a very enjoyable wedding with great couple.

Here I Go Again…

So here I go again with a BLOG. I’ve tried this before and it’s not my strongpoint. However, I bought this domain name last year so I figured I would put the virtual real estate to good use. What I am good at is photography so I’ll try to stick to that and we’ll see where I end up. Now that my disclaimer is out of the way, let’s see what I’ve been up to…..
